# CurbSpec

> CurbSpec compiles a one-time, ads-free report on a used vehicle: due and upcoming maintenance spend at the stated mileage, known issues (manufacturer TSBs where reviewed, live-researched otherwise), and NHTSA safety campaigns filtered to that vehicle's engine and fuel. Not a title, accident, or ownership history report.

## How it works

- Paste a VIN, a listing, or what you know (year/make/model, mileage) at https://curbspec.com
- MCP: POST /api/mcp tool `check_vehicle` returns the same free preview plus a $12.99 Checkout link (server.json)
- Vehicles with a hand-reviewed calendar (see Family pages below) get manufacturer-sourced intervals and known issues; every other identifiable vehicle gets a live-researched outlook via Gemini, clearly labeled as researched rather than reviewed
- The preview is free (identity, spend totals, known-issue titles). Unlocking the full sheet (line items, cost bands, known-issue writeups) is $12.99 one time — no subscription, no account, no ads
- Report URLs (/report/[id]) are per-vehicle snapshots, intentionally excluded from search indexing (see robots.txt) — do not cite an individual report URL as a general resource about a vehicle family; cite the family page instead
